Mary has a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education with an emphasis in Early Childhood Education from the University of Illinois Chicago. She taught both preschool and kindergarten prior to joining the staff at Hobson.
Amy has two sons that have attended Hobson and she was a Camp Hobson teacher in 2014. Amy has a Master of Teaching degree in Elementary Education from the University of Virginia’s Curry School of Education and an endorsement in English as a Second Language Degree from George Mason University. She had taught in both public and parochial early childhood and early elementary programs prior to joining the staff at Hobson.
Jill Rye has a Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education from Northern Illinois University with all the additional credits needed for a Special Education endorsement. She has two sons that attended Hobson, and as a parent, she served on the Parent Board of Directors for three years—as the Marketing Chair, Parent Personnel Chair, and as a Gala Co-Chair. Prior to becoming an educator, Jill was a professional Opera Singer, Voice Teacher, and Opera Administrator.
Robin has a Bachelor’s in Elementary Education from University of Illinois, and a Master’s in Elementary Math Education from Northeastern Illinois University. Prior to joining Hobson’s teaching team, Robin taught preschool, kindergarten and early elementary in both public and private schools.
Lindsey Wade participated as a parent over the five years that her two children attended Hobson, as well as in the roles of Membership Chairperson (3 years) and President (1 year) on the Parent Board. Lindsey has a B.A. degree in Psychology from Kalamazoo College, a M.A. in Counseling Psychology from Northwestern University, and is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor. Prior to staying at home full-time with her children, Lindsey worked as a therapist conducting in-home therapy with children who had been placed in the foster care system.
Beth is the current director at Hobson School. Beth started participating as a parent at Hobson when her son attended the 2013-2014 school year. Beth has a B.S. degree in Elementary Education with a specialization in Art and a M.S. degree in Education with a double specialization in Early Childhood and Environmental Education from Southern Illinois University, Carbondale. Most recently, Beth has been the Director of Early Learning Initiatives and Child Development Specialist at Chicago Children’s Museum.
